The kiln is all ready to go. I cleaned all the shelves and gave them a fresh coat of wash,vaccumed the insdie and tested all the lines from the long winter. I have also been mixing some new glaze tests , so watch here in the few weeks for the results. Now if the weather would warm just a bit I could get my aspargus roots in the ground !

The wind has caused a delay in my kiln firing today. I run a downdraft style kiln with a huge chimney and any wind can cause serious atmospheric issues inside the kiln , so here I am online trying to get some promotions lined up for the etsy store.Currently I am relisting some old stuff with a 1 dollar shipping incentive. Getting Dirty

The spring air has arrived here in Michigan and I find that getting out into the yard has rejuvinated the winter worn body. As artists we tend to spend a lot of time in the studio, not a really "mobile" activity. Being a potter this is even more of a problem. What do I do all day, sit behind a wheel or occasionally stand there and glaze. In either case not much movement is invovled untill the summer shows kick in.
So, with spring arriving getting out in the yard has a most enjoyable quality to it. I get excercise, keep myself busy in a different way and get my hands into the fertile soil that will provide us with our veggies for next few months. This is not only good for the body, but is grand for the soul. Get outside and get dirty !

Stop trying to justify your legacy by lying about how "soft" democrats are on terror. First troop levels in the real terrorist combat zone have increased since you where around. Second the bush administration tried terrorists in civilian courts and convicted them. Third you can not justify torture, even if you think you are Jack Bower (is that how you spell his name?) Soooooo, the snow seems to be melting. I was able to rake out some exposed leaves today to help out the brown layer in my compost. There is hope people !!! The sap buckets also appeared on the maples around the "neighborhood" this past weekend, again there is hope !

As for the studio. I am starting to realize that glaze firing season is almost upon me, giddy I am. As soon as the new pots start arriving pics will appear. Talk at ya later.

Alright, it has been 3 months and figured I should get back in the blog swing. I have been busy in the studio throwing almost everyday and working out some new forms, when I have some good pics I will post them here for you all.

The winter has been long and there has been way to much snow late in the season for my tastes, but what are you going to do.

I am in the process of sorting out some pots leftover from our gallery show the last 2 months, Look for them in the etsy store over the next few weeks.

Summer shows are starting to come together and I will be posting them here as soon as there is enough of them to tantalize you.

On and on the summer has gone. The past few shows have been stupendous, especially Bowling Green , OH. Thanks to for the support and kind feelings.

I am finishing up my demonstration video, when I figure out how I can upload it I will post here and let people know where to find it. The whole problem is that I have dial up internet, country living at it's best right ?!

Oooooooh going finishing next week, I'll post some shots of the great outdoors for ya.

That's right 2 in a month I must be trying now my friends ! All is well here. We have found numerous ways to eat the huge pile of Zuc squash we are growing this year. I have 3 words for you , chocolate zuc bread. Yes, it is as good as it sounds.
The studio is rocking . Finishing up some big jobs that came through and drop off mug sample at the Michigan Brewing Co., lets's hope for the best there.
Not much else new. I will try to get some photos up of the new stuff I have been doing soon. Talk at ya later.

So it has been almost 4 months and here I am finally. The summer is flying by and has been a most productive time. Art Fairs are going , well let us say it has been interesting. My custom orders seem to be the thing right now. The studio is looking good and I am firing the kiln often to turn around all these jobs, so that has been fun.
The yard is looking sweet! We have been eating lots of food out of both our fruit and veggie gardens. The flower beds are looking spectacular this year.
I am hoping to get some more frequent updates as the time rolls on here , so stay tuned . Hope everyone is well !!!
