Updating

I am in the process of updating the site. I have added a page with info on the breweries I work with and some pictures of the mugs and pints. In the meantime please enjoy this teapot. It represents a bit of the new style I am working in. Cheers

Exciting Mistakes

Sometimes you just mess up when mixing glaze. This Growler is the result of a miss mixed glaze. I have no idea what went wrong so this glaze will only be around for a limited time. This particular piece is in the Etsy store as of this post.

So many things to catch up on at the moment. The shop is rockin with the new Howlers and Growlers as i have orders out the wazoo for them. 64 oz Growlers are in !

These are the first in the new Growlers. They fill at 64+ oz and have wider swing tops for easy filling. Look for them in the Etsy store soon. You can always contact me for special orders.

Spring ?

Haven't posted in a bit so here we go.

The larger swing tops have arrived and I am in the process of creating the full 64oz growlers. They are looking pretty sweet and the first glaze kiln with them should come out this weekend. I will post some epic shots when it's unloaded.

I am always looking for new venues to get my Beer Howlers and Growlers into, if you have any ideas send me a message.

The Kickstarter rewards are shipped and I only have a few items left to get to folks. To everyone who participated thanks so very much.

Melting snow has once again turned my "driveway" in to a mud bog. This a constant thing during this time of year, but I plan to remedy that for next year.

I have just been making pots and drinking really good Michigan beer, so nothing to crazy. I have to say though that life is good.

Latest cone 6 testing results

The gloss brown with a double dip to create a green overlap.

A pair of mugs in Wintergreen (left) and Matte Blue/Green Right) to show true color. These 2 mugs were previously shown with the incorrect appearance of the color.

More Cone 6 glaze testing.

 These first 3 mugs are 2 of the glazes from the first round that I have great interest in. The only difference is I have tried a black liner glaze instead of a white one. I love the look of the mug in the middle and am looking forward to this combination. With the other green glaze I am preferring the white much more. It looks great overlapped and I think the white looks better as a liner as well.

 So, these green mugs you see on the right and left are further testing of the brown glaze that had green highlights from the first batch. Now the glaze is green with brown breaking, I believe it is a thickness issue and will run some more with this glaze to determine what is happening. I do love the green ones, especially the dark brown on the right one creating by overlapping the black glaze. This glaze could almost be used for 2 different glazes by just application thickness.

These are just some oil bottles and a tea bowl with the above glazes and overlaps.
